JUNIOR CLASS HISTORY . The juniors are a lively crew. There were thirty-two of us who entered the Freshmen ranks. We went through the usual fresh maneuvers without casualty and finally were promoted. Mary Lou Lane came to us from Fredericktown that year. Our Sophomore year started with a tragedy. We lost Lowell Jenkins and Donald Smith in an automobile accident. This grief dampened our spirits and we suffered a great loss in leadership. Robert Gartin, Eddie Stratton, Earl Clark and pale Nauman all left the class during the year, but we welcomed Kenneth Payne Lewis Beckett, Martha and Helen James as newcomers which left us a total of Z8 members. Our social activities included a hay ride to the State Lake at Mt. Gilead in the fall of the year. We had such a grand time that we returned to the same spot for our last-day-of'school picnic. Several of us enjoyed the privilege of waiting tables at the Junior'Senior Banquet, and we were invited to join the dancing after dinner had been served. And so we soared into the junior year with big plans, and we are proud to say most of them have been successfully com- pleted. Our moneywnaking activities included selling pop and hot dog sandwiches at Basketball games, and the selling of CHS pins, emblems, and hats at various intervals. April ll, will be a happy, happy day because our class .rings will be here. We held a skating party at the Mansfield Park Rink early in the fall, but have been too busy ever since that time, for much social activity. There are twenty'four juniors and we are well represented in all school activities and projects. Our class play, Here Comes Patricia, was an outstanding success, starring Wilma Deel as Patricia and Bud Higgins as the hero, jimmy Clark. Betty Mae Levering as Minnie Knoop, a man'crazy maiden, bro' ught her share of laughs. Prom plans are under way and we shall always remember the grand time we had this year. --Wilma Deel
