CLASS HISTORY Our present Senior Class began back in 1954 in our kindergarten years with Mrs. Wakeley. Included were many of today's class originals, such as Beth Tennyson, Lynne Sullivan, Carol Anne Wakeley, Kathy Montgomery, Jerry LaFlure, James Dunn, David Starbuck, Peter Stewart, Kevin Hayes, and George Wertime. We received four valuable additions during the lower grades. We acquired Barbara from Waterveliet in second grade, and both Linda and Carol H. joined us in third grade; Carol came to us from Syracuse. In third grade, Patty also first joined us and has kept coming and going ever since; we last gained her in tenth grade when she came to us from Warrensburg. Fifth grade was marked by our moving upstairs, and we made another important step when in the seventh grade we finally discovered what homework was all about; we also learned about spitwads that year. It was during seventh grade that we gained Chris from Queens, and we've been enjoying (?) his jokes ever since. At the end of eighth grade we received our diplomas, which encouraged us to stick it out for another four years. Our sophomore year was generally uneventful, but that was the year we suffered through our first regents. Glen joined us during our sophomore year. Our junior year was probably our busiest, for not only did we receive our class rings, but we held a Mason candy drive to raise money for our class treasury; this was followed in our senior year by a second drive which was probably regarded by our neighbors as the crushing blow. Our Junior Prom in May was an exciting event, and we all enjoyed decorating the gym with colorful streamers. Our theme was Over the Rainbow , and Chris and Linda were chosen as our King and Queen. We gained the last member of our class, David Rogers, during our senior year, bringing us up to a total of seventeen. Our senior trip to W ashington in October proved to be a big event in our lives, and forever endeared us to Mr. and Mrs. Ross who barely managed to survive the strain. Another highlight of our senior year was our Senior Play which was a great success thanks to Mrs. Magee’s skill- ful direction. Actually consisting of three one-act comedies, The Happy Journey , The Trysting Place , and Curse You Jack Dalton , our Senior Play meant a lot of fun to all of us. We are now looking forward to graduation and college, but, of course, we will always fondly remember our happy years at C. H. S.

LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT We, the Seniors of 1967, being of sound mind and memory, do hereby make, publish, and declare this to be our Last Will and Testament. Carol Anne leaves her excess weight to Patty Kemmer, and her air- conditioned gym suit to anyone that gets warm in gym class. Beth leaves Mr. Ross to any Business Law class who can understand him, and her gym suit to anyone who wants it. Kevin- I leave my brother....................happily! Patty leaves her selling of Mason Candy to Mr. Ordway. She also leaves her fighting ability to Dick White. David leaves the cafeteria a non-Italian cookbook. Chipper leaves his guitar and drum playing, and his ability to bug Mr. Wentworth, to Greg Boggia in hopes that he will develop a superb skill in them all. Glen leaves his seat in the Chester Diner to Kevin Jones. Linda leaves her cheerleading uniform to Sue Barlow. Barbara leaves her ability to have huge fights with her favorite guy to Sue Culver. Lynne leaves her ability to excel in Business Math to anyone smart enough to pass it, and her ability to blush to Mrs. Luke. Carol e leaves the e on her name to Mr. Ross e , her lace bell- bottoms to Kenny Barnard, and her dancing partner, John Reehl, to anyone who can keep up with him. Chris leaves his New York City accent to Tucker. Peter leaves his ability to confuse Mr. McDowell to his sister in hopes that they will have similar biological traits. Kathy leaves her ability to foul up the treasurer’s books to anyone who wants to get bawled out by Mr. Ross. Jerry leaves his Red-Man to Mike Packer. George leaves his ability to make chlorine in lab to anyone who thinks he can change the rules of chemistry. The Senior Class leaves Washington D. C. to the coming Seniors of 1968...................what's left of it! 196 Y
