Our Board of Education, which meets the second Tuesday in every month, has done much to further intellectual development of our community. It is our Board who provides all the children attending school with medical atten- tion, such as: The yearly check-up by either Dr. Blodgett, Dr. Shrank, Dr. Bibby, and dental surgery from Dr. White. They also provide transportation for all children needing a way to and from school. They are responsible for the speaker at commencement day exercises. The Board provides us with all the furniture and fuel needed in the maintenance of our Alma Mater. The Board adopts by-laws and rules for its government. Any meeting may be at- tended by the public. These men volunteer their services, and take their pay in the satisfaction that they are furthering the education of the men and women of tomorrow.
