Sports such as volleyball, softball and tennis are very popular. Many girls did so well that they were chosen to go to All-City events. Powder-Puff football proved to be a highly competitive activitity, also. Ninth grade girls vied for the places on the two teams. Coaches were selected from the 9th, grade boy athletes.
