Nimitz has the spirit! The All-Star football game was one of the biggest events all year. The annual battle between Blue and Red was hard fought and exciting. It was the first defeat for the Red team in 6 years. Coaches for the victorious Blues Q6-OJ were Mr. Bauman and Mr. Golembeski. Ready to cheer and add spirit to the game were the cheerleaders captained by Lisa Quesada fRedj and Lisa Alvarez fBlue5 . 41-

Red Power Wins Again All-Star games were held January 26. Passengers spent exciting moments cheering on the Red and Blue teams. The eighth grade game was especially exciting. In the last 34 seconds of the game the Blue's were two points behind. Ignacio was fouled with no seconds on the board. The crowd was asked to quiet down. The shots meant victory or defeat. Ignacio set up to shoot and in it went. One more shot to go. I-Ie set up and missed. The game went into three minute overtime . By the end of the overtime, the Reds come out victorious. The ninth grade All-Starr not only had their own game to play but also, went on to defeat the faculty 65-S5 in a very exciting game. f 1 9th, Grade All-Star Team 9th.
