Complaints about sore muscles, and leg aches echoed all around the ship. Lots of practice and good training made for a very exciting meet. Sports such as volleyball, softball and tennis are very popular. Many girls did so well that they were chosen to go to All-City events. Powder-Puff football proved to be a highly competitive activitity, also. Ninth grade girls vied for the places on the two teams. Coaches were selected from the 9th, grade boy athletes. I-QE 0 1. .M , No, it's not football but our bowlers doing their thing every Monday after A11 of the trophy Winners , school. Many of these passengers bowled their way to the Regional Final Championships. Lupe Ibarra bowled a 592 to place first in the Girls' handicap division. Bert Lawson captured the Boys' scratch division with a score of 485. First honors for team scratch went to Ana , Manuel, Diana and Bert.
