R h 'Gl4h. LETTER FROM THE EDITORS To the class of 1973 I N O I In a few days we will graduate, and Nimitz will be just a memory. Three years ago we were just coming to visit Nimitz. Now these as the last days we will ever attend this school. We all must admit that time, on the whole, has gone very quickly. This only proves that this is how it is with each one of our lives. Time will pass right in no t of our eyes, but until it is gone: we won't realize that it did go by so very fast. In future years we'll probably look back and remember the water- melon and pie-eating contests, the crowded halls, grilled cheese for nie rition, the Anchor, and Mr. Zabris- kie's 'Hip, Hip, Hoorays.u And afmr many years these things might even be forgotten. High school now awaits us. And in three years we will be in the same position as we stand today, leaving people, places, and happen- lUESJ o knows why people come into o lives, walk with us awhile, then disappear. There is no real answer- just take advantage of the good thms that you may have now, for who knows what lies ahead on life's seemingly endless trod. Sea Breeze Editors, amma,QHRspa,wMwQa LETTER FROM OUR SPONSOR To the Graduating Class of 1973 Your last school year at Nimitz is almost over. I hope you will re- member it as much as I will. The good times we shared would fill up several pages of small type. The activities tithe fall and spring vere only successes because you made them so. Without the participation of all of you, they would have only been dates on Uuzcalendar. As you go through your high school years, show the same spirit you have had here at Nimitz, and your good memories will stay with you for the rest of your lives. V Theugraduation ceremony you will take part inisa symbol of one thing: you've made it through. But your teachers knew that all along when we watched you grow this year. It show- ed in your classwork, your faces, and your actions. The years here have been yeas of exploration for you. You have had chances toenrich your minds, as well as increase your skills and physical fitness. You still may not be ready to choose a lifetime profession or trade, nor doyou need to decide now, but a start has been made. Take ad- vantage ofthe new opportunities high school will offer to further develop your skills and talents. T have personally enjoyed this year as your class sponsor. Tn prob- lems I have had were small compared to the good feelings. My only regret is that I have not had time toreally get to know all 700 of you as ,per- sonal friends. I hope you will drop by in the years to come, so I can keep in touch. A lot of Hgrowing upu is simply accepting the many responsibilities life puts on you and trying to do your best as you meet them. Most of you came here young and unsure of yourselves. While you have been here you might even have learned little about history or English or math. But ifyou have learned to accept respon- sibility for yourselff if you have learned to live with those around yny then your teachers wil be satisfied. Remember one thing in the years to comer you are special people. There is no one in the world who can match you. Be happy and have a good life. l , Z LETTER FROM OUR CLASS PRES. To the Class of '75: It has been a great experience being your Class President. I can't say that I truly enjoyed planning 91715 grade activities, because with all mydeepest regrets, there were mt that many activities. Our class ribbons, were presented to us by our beloved homeroom teachers. Afterwards, there was a dance in which there were various contestsfo all of us and our parents. 9th Grade Week- A week that con- tains some of my fondest memories. I will always rememberthe hard-work- ing slaves, the speedy trike races, cream pies and ou' dass colors- blue and gold. I should be grateful for being Class President of this fantastic class.
