Fri- day afternoon a parade consisting of students, teachers, football players, cheer leaders and the C. H. S. Band marched to the Joy theater for a free movie. The same evening the Yellowjackets met Carbondale in a 31-6 victory. The football was presented to the umpire by the three candidates for Homecoming Queen, Fern Wright, Carol McConkey, and Charlotte Mueller. The Freshmen burned their Green after the game. Following the game the Homecoming Dance was held in the gym. The stu- dents danced to the music of Tommy Lawson and his Orchestra. The high- light of the evening was the crowning of the Queen. There were games, food, cake walk, bingo, fun house and wrestling. This was all enjoyed by young and old alike. At 10 p.m. Gary Frazer was crowned Rex and Bonnie Guthman Regina The new Rex and Regina were crowned by the retiring Rex, Robert Stahlheber, and Regina, Oma Nance.
