Congratulations from your Home-Town Newspaper THE NEWS JOURNAL Seniors 3?reseiit inspiring S?erformance REST ASSURED Mr. Morlock, a mor.ey-mad grouch, refuses the marri- crge of his daughter, Mary, to Joe Lancond, son of a meat cutter. Luigi, Joe ' s papa, comes to talk for Joe but to no avail. A tight follows. Morlock lands a ihay- maker over Luigi ' s bad heart; Luigi konks out. But he receives permission to haunt Mr. Morlock, and this he does in a big way. In an effort to escape the ghoat Mr. Morlock takes an overdose of sleeping pills and he too konks out. He refuses to accept death; but when Luoifer comes to take him down yonder, he ' s con- vinced. The family proceeds with the burial and then plan tor the wedding. Suddenly Mr. Morlock sees the mistake he has made. All this was a dream. Needless to say, Mr. Morlock is a very happy man In his grati- tude he offers the biggest blow-out the town has ever seen. Sunior 3}lay Maybe You ' re Wrong Often times young people fee! that they are neglected by their parents. The Wood ' s family, although typical in every respect, seems to have this unique problem. The children, with the help of some of the neighbor chi ' dren, finally decide to take matters in hand. They proceed to write letters of resignation to many of the clubs for their parents, including the withdrawal of Mr. Wood and Mr. Strong from the mayoralty race. Flowers and consolatory letters begin to arrive to the surprise of the parents; and so does Reverend Seagrove, who wishes to thank Mr. Wood for his $1,000 pledge to the organ fund. This not only surprises but also shocks Mr. Wood who know,3 nothing obout it. To add to Mr. Wood ' s annoyance, Wheezer prefers band over football. You see, Mr. Wood was a football star in his day. Needless to say family rela- tions become very strained. Out of this chaos appears a renewed undersjtanding of parents and children and their duties and responsibilities to each other. Incidentally Mr. Wood is elected mayor on a write-in vote. COMMIHEE CHAIRMEN Seated: Karen Bowen, Rosemary Miller, Jo Anne Landis. Standing: Mrs. Weddle.
