The CRE W It was hard work to launch the S. S. Ravelings but we, the crew, enjoyed every minute of it. Into the frame work of this sturdy ship has been recorded a reflection of you and your school. The long hours of hard work we spent, with their many head- aches, searching for just the right picture and the best words were all done with the knowledge and hope that our efforts, though not perfect by any means, would be appreciated. Enjoy this book, have your friends auto- graph it, and laugh twenty years from now at what we wore and sang and said — for that is the fun of looking back. May it help you also to recapture some of the dreams, the ideals you indulged in while here, and may you realize which of those ideals were true, right, and worthwhile. This is your book — it is the dreams, thoughts, and me- mories which come to you each time you open it that will make this annual complete since we could only hope to give you in part a record of one of the most eventful years in your life. Every member of the class of 1953 contri- buted his or her part to this launching of the S. S. Ravelings, from the time of the first pic- ture and the first line of copy to the time that finis was written on the efforts. There was a iob for all and all responded. We ' ve tried to make this, our annual, one of the best ever launched by the Panther Steamship Lines. We hope you will like it.
