Deck ' ' A - The Seniors Senior Officers George Zinsmeister, President Dean Reber, Vice-President Tom Coon, Secretary Larry Bolinger, Treasurer Bonnie Wiley, Reporter Senior History In September, 1949, thirty-seven freshmen made their appearance in high school. The class had two parties, one being a skating party at Columbia City under the spon- sorship of Mr. Billing and Miss Bowen. The class elected as their leaders the following people: Bob Schumaker, President; Gerry Barker, Vice-President; Barbara Schroll, Reporter; Deloris Greer, Reporter; and Lois Hapner, Secretary-Treasurer. The following year twenty-nine ambitious looking pupils entered Chester High. During that year the class enjoyed two parties. One was a weiner roast at the back of the school house. The sponsors for that year were Mrs. Lytle and Mr. Scribner. The class elected the following as their leaders: Barbara Schroll, President; Ronald Zim- pelman, Vice-President; Wendell Meyer, Reporter; Janet Watson, Secretary; and Doris Bucher, Treasurer. In 1951, twenty-nine juniors entered school looking forward to the many extra activities that take place dur- ing the junior year. During that year we eagerly took the responsibilities of putting on a fish fry and selling at the ball games, under the sponsorship of Mr. Hults, Mr. Metz- ger, and Miss Layman. The class gave Mother is a Fresh- man with Miss Eshelman as director. The officers for that year were as follows: Larry Bolinger, President; Deloris Greer, Vice-President; Alice Brubaker, Secretary; George Zinsmeister, Treasurer; and Tom Coon, Reporter. On September 2, 1952, twenty-eight mischievous schol- ars trudged wearily into Chester to make up the class of 1953. Through determination and hard work new records were established. Magazine sales exceeded all other records previously set. The play, Our Miss Brooks, was given before a packed gymnasium and directed by Miss Eshelman. The class sponsored a fish fry which also made money for the trip. Under the supervision of Mr. Smith and Miss Layman, the Ravelings was produced. Sym- bolizing the end of our school career baccalaureate and commencement closed our senior year with many pleas- ant memories and experiences.
