Why did you insist on going home right after dinner last night. Faith? Hey, Teach! “Up the Down Stair- case” was presented by 24 junior and senior CHS students on April 28, under the direction of Mrs. Unterseher. The two-act play evolves around a young teach- er’s first job and the problems she encoun- ters with her unruly students. Underneath the comedy and humor, there is a real concern on the part of the fac- ulty and students to teach and to be taught. When do I get to go home and wash? James asks. Teach! There is chewing gum on my seat! Kathy exclaims. I gotta have a pass to the men’s room! Aden admits painfully.
