REFLECTIONS Four years. For some it has been too long. Others felt it was days of good times, but every- one agrees it has been an experience. Our freshman year seemed different in many ways, but it was a beginning. A chance to meet people, start a career and grow as individuals. It was our time now to enjoy the maturity shared only by our peers before us. Who can’t remember looking up to seniors and wishing to have their nonchalant attitude? The dominant idea that sticks in our memories is the spirit shared by every- one at the carnival and pep rallies. k Sophomore days can be remembered as being Involved with a spaghetti supper and Friday night football games. Yet, even though we were sixteen, the eighteen year-old vote would soon be in our hands. In two years it would be our chance to get involved and help form a new society. Hopefully the wait would pass quickly. In our junior year, we had the opportunity to carry out the junior traditions. The prom, Sugar Baby Love, was a success through our eyes, even if all of us didn’t quite make it through The Sting and the breakfast held afterwards. Now we are almost there, will we ever make it? Our senior year. We began to think of independence, new faces, and challenges which would shape our tomorrows. We wondered at numerous national, racial, and historical events which brought confusion, instability, and corruption. But more fondly, we remember May 30, 1976. Now let us work to achieve dreams, contemplate opportunities, and begin again from this day. 9
