Benton; from there Lori, Jeanette, Debb, Deanna, Clara, Kathy, and Linda went to the divisional in Great Falls. All 7 girls went to the state meet in Missoula and there repre- sented their school well. FIRST ROW: L. Benes, B. Langdon, D. Gabbert, J. Brady, L. Nelson, J. Landrigan. SECOND ROW; R. Jochems, J. Young Team Gains Experience The Coyotes tried to uphold the record set by last year's football team, and it seemed as though they would do so because of upcoming talent. As the year progressed they learned that their talent was promising, but experience was needed just as greatly. This year's record was not too impressive, but expe- rience can never be overlooked. 74 Wrestlers Show Impressive Power Wrestling, a relatively new sport at CHS, really blossomed into a major sport this year. Although Coach Wood had a young team to work with, he molded his matmen into contenders from the start of the season. The talent of the underclassmen and the enthusiasm they display guarantees Chester a fine wrestling team for years to come. This year, Kip, Tim, and Bruce represented Chester at the state wrestling meet in Bozeman. Kip wrestled his way to second place in state. On to Divisional n FIRST ROW; B. Turner, J. Standiford, G. Seidlitz, S. Brown, R. Cicon, E. Gragert, J. Dolezal, E. Diemert. 77 Coyotes Never Give In As the basketball season progressed, our team benefited greatly from experi- ence. The most important thing that everyone learned was that although a losing team is sometimes looked down upon, no team or coach ever looked down upon Mr. Van Dessel. We owe him more than can ever be expressed for the most memorable years of our lives. He can never be repaid for the good he has shown and taught to all, in his special way. To him we dedicate the sportsmanship trophy which he deserves more than we do. KNEELING: Mgrs. A. Standiford, T. Schwede. STANDING: D. Thisselle, K. Matkin, J. Laird, B. Fraser, D. Laium, G.
