History The class of 1958 made its first high school appearance in September 1954 with a cast of 34 mem- bers. During this, our first act, we presented ourselves as the typical green freshmen. On initiation day we were welcomed by the eager and friendly Seniors of 1955, our characters ranged from bathing beau- ties, hula dancers, to bums. In the starring roles were president - Wally Luchetti, vice-president - Robert Mann, and secretary-treasurer - Delanor Zorn. Miss Helen Ogden was our director during our first appearance. Our amateur cast had gained these distinguished names, Lemoin Werner and Francis Thomas. Leaving the show were Areal Rives, Roger Walker, Fred Campbell, Frank Nations, Lavonne Ott, Joyce Gavin, Bobby Jack Wilson, Eri Buno, Russell Sanderson, Margaret Ward, Francis Thomas, and Virginia Yorborough. In our sophomore year we were fast becoming acquainted with the wings of C. H. S. Although things were looking up, we were looking forward to our 3rd and 4th acts. During this run the spotlights were cast on Roger Wolfe - president, Gary Shepherd - vice-president, and Terry Swank - secretary-treasurer. Mr. Earl Haugen was our manager. New faces found on stage were James Gautier, Blake McDowell, Del- bert Boyer, James Wigmore, Cathy Axman, Donna Poil, Wreatha McIntosh, Darlene Fuhs, and Eri Buno. Making their exit were Donna Poil, Wreatha McIntosh, Darlene Fuhs, Cathy Axman, Eri Buno, Robert Mann, Wally Luchetti, James Gautier, Don Henry, and Carol New. Our third act was a huge success, as by this date we had all acquired a considerable amount of ham. Outstanding cast members were president - Terry Swank, vice-president - James Wigmore, and secretary- treasurer - Roger Wolfe. Dramatic coach was Mrs. Joe Brannon. Ellen Striegel joined our Actors Guild at this time. Box office specials were the play Two Dates For Tonight, class rings, and we sponsored the Junior-Senior Banquet and Prom with the theme Paradise of the Deep. In our fourth and final curtain call, we the Seniors of 1958 made our most spectacular performance. Idols of this season were president - Gary Shepherd, vice-president - Jerry Albright, and secretary- treasurer - James Wigmore. Mr. Glenn Pearson acted as producer. Helping to make our stage career such a smash hit were Bruce Walter and Don Henry who joined us in the fall of 1957. The major attrac- tions during this run were the repeat performance of initiation, our three one act plays the Tantrum, I’m A Fool, and Submerged. We also made the annual trip to Hawe for senior pictures. We were honored celebrities at the Jr.-Sr. Banquet and Prom with the theme Sayonora. Before closing the show we made a personal tour of Montana, otherwise known as Sneak Day. Finished, Yet Just Begun was chosen for our class motto, class colors are helio and white, and the class flower is the Iris. As we made our exit from the spotlights of C. H. S. we partook in the Baccalaureate ceremony. On graduation night we bid our farewells to our audience. These four showings are simply a premier of things to come from the Senior Class of 1958. This week The Latest Chit Chat Column shall be devoted to the graduates of 1958 of Chester High School who all seem to be quite prominent in the social as well as the news world. The one who seems to be rating the biggest splash at present is DELBERT BOYER who has started a school in the deep, dark jungles of the Belgian Congo where he is teaching the natives his bongo methods known as Beat the Bongoes with Boyer. LYLE EVELAND, the lazy Einstein, has finally become ambitious enough to develop an ingenious device for taking the chuck holes out of streets, those of Chester are included, naturally.

SHARON WRIGHT going by the name of Positively Painless Pete, has just developed a painless method of extracting teeth. DON HENRY unable to find a mate in the U. Title of coach of the year was presented to LEFTY W1GMORE for the brilliant maneuvers used by his team from Sing Sing College. El Tauna, otherwise known as BEV WRIGHT, just finished her performances at the Cow Palace where she did the dance of the Seven Veils. Mean-while back at the farm TERRY SWANK is now experimenting on another type of grain. He be- lieves that his type will grow to maturity in just six weeks thus allowing him more free time. GARY SHEPHERD is now running for the job of senator. If he should succeed in gening this post it would certainly be his type of work as he always did have the ability to talk fast and say the right thing when in a difficult situation.
