We, the Senior Class of nineteen hundred and fifty seven, of Chester High School, City of Chester. County of Liberty, State of Montana, being of sound minds and sincere hearts and not acting under menace, fraud, or influence of any person, do hereby make public and declare this document: We the class of '57 Feeling on our way to heaven. Do now divide our property fair. And make you other children heir. With the hope that when we’re gone Thoughts of us will linger on. Under the guidance of heaven sent, We now make this our last will and testament. To the TEACHERS we leave a vote of thanks for the many things they've tried to teach us, whether we learned them or not. To the JUNIORS we leave the desks by the windows and that long awaited senior trip. To the SOPHOMORES we will all unclaimed articles, old laughs, jokes, and the power to see into the future what will be lost for you. To the FRESHMEN the questions, how, when, where, and why, that make good freshmen and better seniors. For our JANITOR, Walt Jensen, who has been with the school for 21 years, we leave the fifth desk in the fifth row in Study Hall stripped - of all screws! DENNIS CRAWFORD - willingly leaves his quiet ways to Jerry Shettel and John Schroer. MONTY NEALY'S ability to go steady and stay true he wills to Donna Kossel. To help Delores Eastman enjoy school. DOROTHY HAUGEN leaves her grownup ways and friendly smile. BEVERLY HANSON - wills her temper and cute little sneeze to Wild Bill. DUANE WRIGHT - leaves his beautiful legs to Mr. Vie. ARLETTA JENSEN - wills her dignity and winning ways to the freshman girls. DEANNA MEECH - leaves her ability to talk fast when in a tight spot to Gary Zorn, she also wills the BOYS' plate to anyone with two loose screws. LELAND STAND1FORD - wills his speedy ways and little feet to Jerry Quincy Albright. DALE STAUDACHER has decided to leave Marion long enough to wrestle with college. CAROL WOODS - wills her Colgate smile to Nancy Iverson, and upper plate to Terry Swank. JOSEPH RAUN1G - leaves his Scotch - excuse me - 1 should have said he's to Scotch to leave anything. BIRDIE WARD - wills her ability to get almost anything she wants to Jodine Thielman. PAT CUSHING'S flirty ways and good grades she wills to Dorothy Shettel. HANNAH KOLSTAD - leaves her sax appeal to Arlene Albright. COLLEEN BRESNAHAN - wills her blushing and her innumerable possibilities to Sharon Wright. Because JIM BERG had such good luck with his last house party, he wills his church key to his little sister, Willa. EUNICE MAHER - leaves her love of reading and her ability to accomplish to those students who have difficulty in completing assignments on time. GEORGE CHRISTENOT - leaves his ways with the teachers to Ronnie Sunderland. PEARL HEIMBIGNER - willingly leaves her crutches to whoever may need them but doesn't wish them on anyone. BETTY HARMON - wills her knack to get excused make-up slips to all the other hooky players. JIM SHETTEL is leaving Betty in ball and chain to make sure that nobody tries to steal her next year. Dear Diary: June 15, 1967 I met BIRDIE WARD today. She told me that she is the president of the National Lonely Heart So- ciety for women. PAT CUSHING was secretary until she was forced to resign because it was revealed that her heart wasn't very lonely. Dear Diary: June 17, 1967 Back in New York at the Madison Square Garden I took in the Championship lady wrestling match. The Red Wrecker, better known as COLLEEN BRESNAHAN, was one of the main contestants. She has invented a new hold called the Heart Throb. One of her most avid financial supporters is BEVERLY HANSON, creator of a new type of garlic gum called Burp and Belch with Bev. Dear Diary: June 2o. 1967 Back in Montana. It's sure good to be home. In Chester I saw a very familiar scene, ARLETTA JENSEN behind a store counter. Only this time it's her own and the pride of her life. Jensen's Junk is the name of this up-and-coming establishment. While around town I heard gossip about an old maid schoolteacher - HANNAH KOLSTAD. She had encouraged two of her third graders to elope. Dear Diary: June 22( 1967 Today, while having coffee in The Mint, I met one of the most successful ones of our class - CAROL WOODS. She was chosen Nurse of the Year by her inmates at Alcatraz. Dear Diary: June 25, 1967 Tonight I had the shock of my life. While visiting the Shelby Fair I noticed several chorus girls, and the one with the most swing and sway was BETTY HARMON. As I recall she always did like to kick up her heels. I also met JIM SHETTEL who is very disappointed with life. It seems his ambition was to marry three different girls (one at a time of course) a blonde, a brunette, and a redhead. The first two were okay, but fate struck a blow the third time when the redhead's wig fell off during the wedding march. Dear Diary: June 27 1967 Today 1 met JOSEPH RAUNIG, the millionaire drive-in theater owner. The reason for his success is he guarantees a lover's moon for every movie. MONTY NEALY is also on his way to the million mark. He invented the widely used livestock feed called Nealy's Mealy Cow Chow. Dear Diary: June 30. 1967 I'm leaving from San Diego as my vacation is over and I still haven't seen two of my classmates - LELAND STANDIFORD and GEORGE CHRISTENOT. Wait! Who are those two sailors surrounded by beautiful girls? Of course, it's Leland and George. I can see they're at their favorite pastime so I won't bother them. Dear Diary: That's the tale of the class of 57. We are all on our way to our own goals and dreams, allowing for a few setbacks and disappointments which we are all bound to have. I only hope I may see all my former classmates again in another ten years.
