AT CHESTER HIGH our school. Prominent among these changes has been the expansion of the guidance and counseling program. In an attempt to be better able to help the students find out what their interests, abilities, and aptitudes are and what they are best fitted by nature to do, a formal guidance department has been added, this de- partment consists of a guidance director plus several grade counselors. ljnder the auspices of the National Defense Education Act tremendous strides have been made and are being made in strengthening the math- ematics, science and modern foreign language cur- riculums of the Chester High School. It is the philosophy of the Chester High School that the most valuable thing young people can get during their high school years is knowledge-knowledge which builds character, knowledge which elevates the mind culturally, knowledge which enhances the sense of moral and spiritual values, knowledge which enables one to live a fuller, a more effective, and a happier life. As you leave these hallowed halls of our school, it is our sincere hope and desire that you will carry in your hearts and minds these lessons and that you will face the future with confidence, optimism, and courage.
