PREFACE As you turn the pages of this '58 Cestrian, some of you may think the iob of publishing a year book is routine with each senior class. Actually for those who shoulder this responsibility, the task is anything but routine. Each senior class takes a special pride in putting out as attractive an annual as possible. We of the class of 1958 have worked very hard and painstakingly to record faithfully and realistically the life of our high school this, our senior year. We know that as you scan these pages, you may pos- sibly find errors, but we sincerely hope not. We also know that you will find much that will call to mind gayety, serious moments, sad ones, hard work, and the usual pauses in school routine for relaxation and fun. All these facts of our school life are on these pages, but there is much too, that we cannot record-those dreams, those ideals, those long long thoughts of youth that are a part of us all-things never expressed but never forgotten-memories that are woven in the warp and woof of our high school days. We hope this 1958 Cestrian will always keep those memories bright. lf in later years when each of us has gone his separate way and Chester High School associations are but a part of all that isfpast -then if this book can serve as a realistic tangible link of recall between that past and tomorrow, it will have served its purpose well. That is the hope of our staff-that the l958 Cestrian may be a golden bridge between today and the future for all of us. Sincerely, Martha Woods, Editor Johnny Huskins, Business Manager w 1' rf, .Hue fx1r4.,w .A
