FUREWURII The material for this, the 1941 CESTRIAN, has been carefully collected and compiled, with the hope that in future years it may serve as a vivid and accurate reminder of our years at Chester High. As time wings its way, these years with all their laughter, fun, and serious moments can be so quickly forgotten-especially all the little things that make high school associations so dear and intimate. Consequently, we have tried to include every phase of our life in school, so that in this little book we may live again thc year of 1941. lf we have succeeded in our purpose, it is due to the co-operation of the staff, the business firms who gener- ously aid us in publishing our book, Mr. Nichols, our photographer, our faculty adviser, and the members of our class. During this time he en- himself to every member of the School Board and made his influence richly felt in the hearts and lives of all the children of the City School System. chairman of the committee on buildings and grounds he was always alert to the needs of the school system even smallest detail. He was the type of man that took a personal interest in every situation where his duty called him. He was a sincere friend, XX'orld W'ar veteran and hero, social worker in his community, and above all a Christian gentleman. As a man he was most lovahle and sympathetic and loyal to his friends and loved ones and affectionately known to his elose friends as Billie, Dr. Davidson suffered greatly during the latter years of his life. X5C'hen his friends and loved ones felt, he would always reply just lane. God had richly endowed his life with the power to endure without murmur. Only those who walk close to the Master could do this. Dr. Davidson has gone from asked him how he pain and suffering us but his life and spirit will live on in the hearts of the people of Chester throughout the coming years. Contributed by M. E.
