Democ- racy in our beautiful home land would fail but for the Hne training received in our schools and colleges. So, prepare yourself well in whatever sphere of usefulness you feel able to fill. To those of you who do not go to college, I would suggest that you continue your edu- cation by reading along the line of whatever vocation you may enter and to improve yourself for advancement as the years come and go. Your country needs you, every last one of you. If we love our native land as we say we do, let us show it by our actions in keeping ourselves prepared for whatever emergencies may come to us. During this time he en- himself to every member of the School Board and made his influence richly felt in the hearts and lives of all the children of the City School System. chairman of the committee on buildings and grounds he was always alert to the needs of the school system even smallest detail. He was the type of man that took a personal interest in every situation where his duty called him. He was a sincere friend, XX'orld W'ar veteran and hero, social worker in his community, and above all a Christian gentleman. As a man he was most lovahle and sympathetic and loyal to his friends and loved ones and affectionately known to his elose friends as Billie, Dr. Davidson suffered greatly during the latter years of his life. X5C'hen his friends and loved ones felt, he would always reply just lane. God had richly endowed his life with the power to endure without murmur. Only those who walk close to the Master could do this. Dr. Davidson has gone from asked him how he pain and suffering us but his life and spirit will live on in the hearts of the people of Chester throughout the coming years. Contributed by M. E.
