CLASS I-I ISTORY All tlJz world Q a stage, anal all tb: mc n anal womz unzrzly players at rvt tba III ant, and than the lUbIt1lllQ school boy with his tutfbfl and shining morning ate, creeping like snail unwzll 1 gh to school ELEVEN YEARS AGO, un 1928, when we made our furst appearance on the stage of educatuon, luttle could we realuze the umportance of our earluest performances Perhaps our stuge debut was a but nousy and dusorderly but un later presentatuons our behavuor umproved Durung the Hrst sux years, our L-IYCCTS were un the makung the actors slowly molded themselves unto dehnute types Ineudentully the study of the three R s readun rutun , and ruthmetuc had a bug unfluenee tow 1rd the kmd of uetors we became un later years As we became better un our munor roles and sumple plots, we were allowed to advunee to th ngs more complex In the seventh year of our traunung, a complete change of scenery took place Our new settung was Chester Hugh School Here we were beset by stage frught probubly caused by chlngung lockers, clamorung crowds, and a new method of stagung and preparung known as the block system The large number of durectors was a but confusung at first, and as the settung and types of stagung were slughtly dufferent, a few munor moduficatuons had to be made un our conduct and bearung However, we soon mastered these munor changes and began to perform wuth new energy and abuluty As our eughth year began, we tackled new plots fLatun, algebra, and scuencej but these were very our troupe, a few veterans dropped out, and several tumes, varuous durectors were changed In our nunth year we concentrated on umprovung our performances un the plots developed the prevuous year, and made much effort to play our parts wuth more skull and finesse The experuences gauned durung thus peruod were very valuable un makung us better performers durung the next years Our tenth year as actors brought us the realuzatuon of the umportance of thus traunung We became more seruous un our attutude toward plots and toward the study of our lunes Our unterest un the way we played our parts deepened Soon we would make our final appearance on the Stage of Early Educa tuon, and we wanted our last performance to be our best As we near the end of thus peruod of our stage lufe, let s change to our street clothes and take a look at the umprovements these years have brought Ah' Heres a pruvulege few schools enjoy an excellent publuc address system whueh auds much un our dauly program Whats that new whute buuldung across the practuce field? Oh, the new shop where a number of courses un manual trunung are guven 0h yes, latest but not least are the floodlughts that ullumunate our football field at nught, mmkung thus sport even more thrullung There must have been some other actuvutues besudes school work, we have partueupated un football basketball boxung, glee club, dramatucs, musuc, mental and oratorucal contests Thus Chester Hugh School theatre has turned out some top notch performers who have learned the valuable lesson of beung good losers as well as good wunners Our revuew of other utems us completed, and We agaun don our costumes to resume our parts Though perhaps We are not quute aware of the fact, thus us our last year on the stage of Chester Hugh School I a few short months, we wull make our Hnal bow and exut as members of Chester Hugh Sehool Possubly some wull be glad to leave, others may be reluctant, but whatever our attutude, well all ugree that ut has been a great experuence together As we receuve our duplomas and contunue our careers on new stages, let us be unspured to become better players un thus Play of Lufe As we bud farewell to thus eru of our luves, what could be more approprnte than to lusten to the strauns of our Alma Mater?
