LENA COIRO pins a cor- sage on Barbara Finan, goddess of the harvest. Eight years ago the Karl E. Agan chapter of the Future Teachers of America was organized in Chester High School by Dr. Leah Jordan. Since its inception, the club has been very active in school affairs. F .T.A. members receive, upon occasion, practi- cal experience in the classroom by substituing for teachers whenever faculty members request it. Realizing the importance of a higher education and accepting the fact that rising college fees often present grave problems to prospective teachers, the F.T.A. awards each year a partial scholarship to the member who has been voted by his fellows as tl1e most promising candidate for the teaching profes- sion. Money earned from the sale of chrysanthe- mums and dinks helps make this award possible. is F.T. A . F.T.A. OFFICERS. Seated. Robert Moyer, President.
