Seated: Nancy Ives, co-chairman. Patterned after the federal government, Student Council is divided into three depart- ments: executive, legislative, and judicial. The legislative department consists of two houses: the Senate and the House of Representatives. Executive officers are elected at large, Senate members and judges according to grades, and the members of the House by home rooms. Considering the welfare of the majority, Council provides an extensive program. It spon- sors the all school spring elections and pep rallies, maintains a monitorial system, publishes football programs, stages cleanup campaigns, and takes the responsibility for the collection of funds for charitable organizations and needy families.
