CSEKWUR MEMCOIQVES As seniors, we are about to reach another milestone in our lives If not before, at grad- uation, we look back upon the lny good times, happy times, and even sed tiles that we had dun ing one very important phase of our life-our school life le would like to recall all of has happy :ln cidents of our school days but that would be impossible in such a limited space le thougzt we had reached the ultimate in our goal when we were promoted to the ninth grade-as freshman we knew all that there was to know, or so we thought Ie soon were accorded the fallacy of this belief Our class not is almst half the original size of our freshln group 'ith thirty four members, we really filled that good ole '3o6, in more ways than one Several of the boys brought their skills to the fold in athletics. Cliff was the only freshman member of the foot- ball teem Cuberta started her four-year cheer- leading ca.:-eer as a member of the reserve squad. Should we tell you about the class trip we had? Hell, we wonder That school bus was re- ally blue on the way to lbhican Forest'-the color d1dn't come from the exhaust either Ion der if anyone got sick Since it was lay, not too mny people took bathing suits After H-at wars- ballgan, the fellows decided to go swim- ming well they took to the water in their un me-ntionablesg but did they ever scamper to the beach house whm the girls decided to visit the water On the way home, when the group decided suits, or clothing lere we ever soaked all of the way home Our shoes d1dn't dry for days 'hen the bell tolled for the September meet- ing of school, our number was smller Here Hmney Holyfield and Al Elnehart became perm nent members of our class Cliff was a member of the championship bas ketball team that mde the first recent trip to the district Cuberta received the honor of being named the first FFA Queen For our trip, we visited Lake Erie, and tried to do a good job of drowning everyone with squirt guns Did we ever have an exciting ride on the airplane! During our junior year, the school rode higl' in athletics, winning about all the available tmphies football, basketball, and baseball It was the first tournament championship in the history of the school in basketball, and the first trip to the district in baseball 'Rxe boys proudly will tell you about the summer baseball championship trophy they won especial ly Al, Ray, Cliff, and Ronney Our class play was 'Aaron Slick from Punkln Crick le didn't know that we had so lnygood actors in our midst. Beverly was accorded the honor of being vot- ed lay Quem Was she ever a happy one! Cu berta added another laurel to her list by being named Football Quem Remember how it rained and we never did get to use those convertibles. We had a lot of fun presenting the Prom for the seniors , but we thought we never would get all of those orchids done for that jungle, nor find that snake that got away, Cwe never did, eitherl nor keep that pesky bullfrog in that pond Remember how seductive those jungle gals looked, how cute the boys looked in short pants. The academic side of the picture was not left blank as Ronney, Jack, Bay, and Cliff gain- ed membership to the first local chapter of the National Honor Society Iith only sixteen seniors remaining, we now set the stage for the fourth and final act. Our senior play was presented during our Chrlstms vacation Cuberta certainly had an awful time, trying to find a satchel that just wasn't where it was supposed to be Who could have done a trick like that? lbone, but Cliff, of course Remember how that Beverly got sick about a week before the performance and llarllyn Bmwn had to fill in for her Our basketball squad nearly won the champ- ionship again, but except for one basket in an though, as he registered a high of 43 points in a single game, and was also named the top ath lete in the county lell, all of that is behind us now, and we are looking forward to sponsoring a ghost bas ketball game and a dance to swell our treasury le hope that the juniors have a swell Prom for us We know that they had hm at ours. Baccalaureate, Commencement, Smior Skip Dq and the Senior Trlp-what a glorious way to md a career with a flourish le know that when we I leave the steps of that school bus on the retuxn trip the last part of lay, days, times, and frimds will never, never be the same ae they were in the good days at Chester High Class Flower lhite Camation Class Colors Blue and Ihite Class lotto 'Iith Courage and Faith le Shall love Onward' . - w to don little ,,-inning, ,e didnvt bgth about overtime. Cliff set several scoring records, . I I 0
