Standing: David Holbeck, Janice Gaspar, Shirley Beck, Chad Hohwieler, Monica Park, Kristi Persing, Curt Schaefer, Edye Webster, and Jane Minneart. 12 On February 2, 1978 the band members par- ticipated in the Small Group Contest in Madison. Those that received Superior ratings were: ABOVE: Clarinet Quartet playing Andante Minuette: Linda Baartman, Dawn Seeley, Kellie Hefner, and Jan Reiff. ABOVE RIGHT: Sax- ophone Ensemble playing Strictly For Saxes: BACK ROW: Randy Rath and Scot Uthe. FRONT ROW: Patty Muth, Carla Lidel, and Lisa Aldrich. The SOLOISTS were: Drums: Sonata Fantastic, Chad Hohwieler, Flute: Fantasie, Terry Hohwieler, and Drums: Synco-Stix, David Holbeck. On April 8, 1978 the band participated in the Large Group Contest in Madison. The songs they played were: Overture In B Flat, by Giovanini and Toccata, by Bochsa.
