Prom 1977—Precious Reflections The theme of the 1977 Junior-Senior Prom was; Precious Reflections. A lot of work and pre-planning was done to make May 14, 1977 a successful prom. The juniors learned the importance of cooperation and had much fun in presenting their prom. Everyone enjoyed the delicious meal served at the banquet. Lisa Aldrich was mistress of ceremonies. Tammy Hohwieler gave the junior wel- come , followed by CindaGoodale who gave the senior response. The main speaker of the evening was Elmer Beeck. Entertainment was provided by the Swing Choir. The senior prophecy was presented by Kirk Keupp and Roxanne Groeneveld. 6

“They Run in Our Family” With Jaime Ostraat-Peggy Pennywinner, Danny Holbeck-Alvin Pennywinner, Donna Baumberger- Pat Pennywinner, Tim Reurink-Buzz Pennywinner, Dave Fedeler-Spook, Julie Reiff-Agnes Penny- winner, Susan Heibult-Aunt Alice, Don Van Liere- Seymour, Don Muth-Sam Pennywinner, Tami Limmer-Mrs. Alonzo Speel, Deb Malthesen-Josie, Carla Jensen-Dimple Dillard, Cindy Frederickson- Mitzi Jones, Rolland Hotchdin-Harold Gilley, Stan Fods-Alexander Smith, Dr. Paul Andrews and Announcer-Kirk Beyer, Kim Augustad-Midge, Pam Buchheim-Mrs. Allen, the Senior class play was a big success. The story was about an athletic family who may have gotten an A for effort but their record wasn't very good. In a valiant effort to help her father keep his job, Peggy P. went to the foot- ball field, a place she despised, to try her hand in athletic combat. Her efforts paid off and the Pennywinners were stars of the show.
