The setting was an outdoor cafe of the Old Mission Resort Motel and Health Resort. The play was all about criminals and their problems. The play was written by Donald R. Homecoming 1975—Craig and Rita Reign Homecoming Week was the 22nd through the 26th. Every day of the week something was done for this occasion. They were: Monday-Dress-up Day, Tuesday- Backwards Day, Wednesday-Red, White, and Blue Day, Thursday-Senior Respect Day, and Friday-Grub Day, Pep Rally, and in the afternoon there was a series of skits and a tug-of-war. All the teachers and classes, 7th through 12th participated in the tug-of- war. The juniors and Freshmen came out victorious most of the time. Every class got a chance to pull against the others. The teachers lost all of their battles. Coronation was held Thursday night. Don and Jackie, the 1974 Homecoming King and Queen were there to crown this years' royalty. Craig Peterson was crowned King, and Rita Baumberger was crowned Queen. The Chester Flyers played a very good game a against the Tri-Valley Mustangs even though we lost. We've Only just Begun—Sweetheart '76 On the 27th day of March the annual Sweetheart Dance sponsered by the FFA and FHA was held in the gymnasium. On the day before the dance the FFA and FHA members worked all day long to decorate the gym. Colors chosen were red, pink, and white. A large heart at the head of the gym accented the decorations. We've Only Just Begun was the theme that was in everyone's mind as thay danced to the great sounds of Dirty Eddie. Candidates chosen for Queen were Gail Burkard, Kay George, Paula Hass, and Connie Gaspar. The candidates for King were Stan Fods, Mark Acheson, Larry Anderson, and Alan Schaefer. The moment finally came for the 1976 Royalty to be announced. The 1975 King and Queen, Dale Burkard and Barb George, crowned Queen Paula Hass and King Mark Acheson to reign as the 1976 Sweetheart Royalty. The 1975 Royalty: Barb George and Dale Burkard.
