Enjoying Competing Learning Participating In memory of his many years of service as bus driver at Chester Area School, we the 1976 Flyer Staff would like to place this book in memoriam to Art Oltman. Belonging Spirit . . . Years ago our forefathers fought and strived for our country's Independence. Through good minds and great spirit they won the Independence. This is just like school in our last four years. First of all we have Spirit of Enjoying. Enjoyment is a big part of our life. Surely all of us will remember all the good times we had at Good Old CHS. Next we have the Spirit of participating. Participation is to show how we can take part in anything we strived for. Through competing we learned how to show good sportsmanship and the ability to take the bad days with the good ones. Spirit of learning shows how we can better ourselves and learn from the mistakes we make. Spirit of Belonging, we learn to get along with our classmates, teachers, and friends. As we finished our Senior year we look back on all the good times and the bad and realize that it wasn't as bad as we pretended it to be but rather a rewarding, pleasureable, experiencing four years for each and every one of us.
