King Pat and Queen Darcy Homecoming 1973 Coronation was held on Sept. 27, 1973. It started off with a powder-puff football game, with the Juniors defeating the Seniors. That night the Juniors and Sophomores presented their skits, the Seniors girls then sang Dawning . After the skits and the singing, Darcy Kock was crowned queen and Pat Baumberger was crowned king. The queen candidates were Donna Tollefson, Rose George, and Julie Kroger. The king candidates were Craig Lidel, Jim Groeneveld, and Jay Van Liere. When the crowning was over everyone went out for the traditional bonfire, pep rally, and snake dance. The following day was Homecoming and it began with a pep rally at 3:15. The football game was very exciting with two overtimes, with the Chester Flyers defeating the Tri- Valley Mustangs 20-14. After the game everyone was ready for the dance which started at 9:30 and ended at 12:00. The Silent Majority was enjoyed by all. Homecoming was a com- plete success! King Candidates - Jay V. L., Jim G., CraigL., Pat B. crowned king; train bearer Brian Borchardt. Train bearer Julie Baumberger; Queen Candidates - Darcy K. being crowned by Jane Muth, Donna T., Rose G., Julie K. The skit Football Jones was presented by the Junior class. The Sophomores presented a Charlie Brown skit. Gale Swier punts the football, while the Tri-Valley Mustangs attempted to defeat us. 4

“Take Your Medicine This will make you feel better! Dress him nurses! Temperchure! Sorry just wanted to kill him! Angela introduces her fiance. Dr. Jackson, to her Uncle Henry who mistakes him for a surgeon. Henry promise Dr. Jackson $50,000 for the first life he saves. This puts him in many jams, but ends up with Dr. Jackson saving Henry from Hoofendyke. There wasn't a dull moment in the whole play. The Cast: Henry Dodson-Pat Baumberger, Angela Warren-Donna Tollefson, Dr. Jackson- Harley Irvine, Miss Holt-Michele Boyles, Patricia Pryor-Camen Kapuan, Dottie-Julie Kroger, Lottie-Rose George, Jack Benson-Jay VanLiere, Jonathan Puckett-Dave Daniel, Miss Cordelia Puckett-Nancy Gerry, Turtle Dove- Terry Uthe, Dodie Blake-Darcy Kock, Hoofendyke-Jim Groeneveld, Old maid-Cindy Jenson and Gloria Reurink, Middle aged woman- Donna Mathison, little daughter-Tena Harding, directed by Mr. Borchardt. 5 Hat's off to Mr. Borchardt.
