Presidents' Message w it When we first walked into this large house, we were nervous and apprehensive little kids looking for rooms to hide in. As the years have gone by we have grown more confident. We have become a daring and outgoing group of individuals. The Class of 1988 has had the courage and the originality to challenge the old and to create the new- We have also grown closer to the people we have known most of our lives, and we now understand the importance of friendship. We have helped those new to the school, we have helped one another. Now it is time to move to a larger house. With our sense of commitment to others, our trendsetting qualities, our spirit, and our vigor, success is sure to follow The Class of 1988 knows no boundaries and the world Will benefit from it. Always strive for the best, and dare to be different! Thank you for making our years at C.H.S. both challenging and rewarding. Sincerely Teri Condon Rich Pulisciano Presidents' Message! 21

Principal's Message A--1 l n. -W lust about all of you now have a yearbook and in just a few days you will march onto the football field, walk across the stage and receive your diploma ending twelve long! short years of public school. Now what? Think back upon these last four years in high school. Think of the activities in which you took part. The football, field hockey and basketball games, the band concerts, talent shows and plays you attended. Count the number of classes you attended and the number of lunch periods you spent in the cafeteria. The numbers will surprise you and the reality that it is now all over will probably unnerve you. We all hope that you have prepared yourself for what is now to come. Those of you who took your studies seriously and who now plan to attend college, enter the armed services or go to work will find that you are well prepared to compete in that environment. Those of you who did not take advantage of the classroom will find out that to compete against others you will have to work harder than you have ever worked before. Whatever, the case, you can never replay these past four years. They are gone and you are now about to find out who you really are. I have been and continue to be impressed by the maturity and spirit of this senior class. You chose your leaders well and they have served you well. You have developed a sense of pride and closeness to one another that will continue well beyond graduation day and the ten year reunion. You have learned to work together for a common cause and to have fun with each other. You have left in the hearts and minds of many of the adults in the building a sense of pride for having been a part of your growth and development. It has been personally gratifying for me to see how successful my first freshman class has been at becoming an outstanding senior class. I say good-bye to all of you with mixed emotion. I will miss a great many of you. This class will always hold a special place in my heart and, yet, I know that each year graduation takes away the very best that Cheshire High School has to offer. I wish you well and offer my help and counsel if ever you should need it. Iohn M. Dodig 20 X Principal's Message
