Class Prophecy As fate would have it, last night being September 18, 1962, I had a dream in which I saw the present occupations of my former classmates of ten years ago from the Chesapeake and Ohio School of Nursing. It’s a dark rainy night in the heart of Africa and at a mission station I saw Miss Lively writing a letter to Miss Palmer, Yes, they went to Bible School together and Harriet found that missionary she was looking for and is now living in South America still struggling with the Spanish language. My it’s a big city, must be Pittsburgh, who was that who whizzed by me in that big car and tooted the horn. It was Miss Tacy, her dreams have come true and she is now a masseuse. It is Fall and in the Mils of North Carolina I found Miss Nicely rock¬ ing Hal Jr. to sleep wMle her husband is away holding a revival in another community. A hospital in Norfolk and we find Miss Grimes coming up the hall with a syringe in her hand. She is married to an air corpsman whom she met in Delaware. The former Miss O’Farrell, who got her degree in nursing education, is now director of nurses at a hospital up North. With tMs job and taking care of her red headed son, she is quite busy. Miss Johnson is still Miss Johnson and is doing private duty in Staun¬ to n, and working in a beauty shop in her spare time giving cold waves. The weather is nice and balmy here, why it’s Florida and I just came from visiting Miss Smith who is doing private duty on her boxer husband who got pretty well beat up at his last match. In Ronceverte, W. Va. I found Mrs. Morgan, the former Miss Sim¬ mons, at home ironing after a hard days work at the hospital. She is working in the operating room there. In Iron Gate, Va. I saw Miss Miller, now Mrs. Simmons, with a full time job keeping up with her two sets of twins. Where did all those turkeys come from, my it’s Miss Gunnoe trying to get them in out of the rain. She has them all nice and fat for Thanks¬ giving and really enjoys nursing their ills. Miss Alls is living in Clifton Forge with her mother-in-law raising puppies and struggling with bills trying to get them all paid. Goodness, I must quit all of tMs dreaming and get back to my typing lessons. At this rate I never will learn to type. Charmaine E. Clark
