It was really great learning about themselves and other people. They made new friends from all over the state of Ohio. Learning about government was really fun this way. The Student Council of Chesapeake High School is an elected body of students dedicated to school service and community activities. Each year the Council is responsible for the annual Homecoming Ceremony and Dance held in October. The Council sponsors the Red Cross Blood Drive in which seventeen-year-old students can give blood to help needy indivi- h ' duals in our local hospitals. Along with Beta ,tirwl'err-JQIJ 4-6392 , . Club the Council sponsors Teacher Apprecia- , ' M tion Day. Members help each teacher in the m , ' ' classroom and present them with gifts, flowers, i ' , w v V ' or breakfast. Fund raising activities such as can- dy bar sales, car washes, and athletic program sales will be implimented by a book store which will sell a variety of student needs: pens, pencils, paper and computer discs will be among some of the items that may be purchased in the book store. . 92
