The 1981 Chesapeake Panther football team showed spirit and determination in all their efforts. Early in the season the Peake squared off against the single A Trimble Wildcats. The Panthers proved victorious over the state-ranked Wild- cats. Our team had an off season with only three victories. They defeated Trimble, Symmes Valley, and Ironton St. Joe. The Peakeis overall season ended with a 3-7 record. Several members of the team received honors. Ike Lake and Doug Marcum were chosen all- conference by the 0.V.C. Shaun Harris and Marc Ault received honorable mentions. Ike was chosen Mt. Football by the student body, which is a recognition of a most valuable player. We are excited about the talented underclass- men which helped on this year's team and will provide the backbone of the next year '5 promising team.
