The annual Junior Play Pure As The Driven Snow, an old time melodrama, was presented on December 7, under the direction of Mr. Robert Blue. Marian Burch portrayed the heroine, Purity Dean, with Dennis Malone as the hero, Leander Longfellow. The rest of the cast consisted of Max O'Rourke as Jonathan Logan, Donna Duguid as Zama Logan, Betty Wenzlick as Mrs. Faith Hogueg Barbara Ringler as Letty Barber, Larry Blaze as Jed Lunn, the ex-con, Laura Korth as Mrs. Ethelinda Hewlittg Carole Holt as Alison Hewlittg John Chludil as E.Z. 21+ OH, PROMISE ME III 1 Back Row--Richards, Sleno, Hunt, Whitney, Hartman, Greenwalt Mr. Ellis. Front Row--Persons, Ruff, Kettler, M. Schoch, Richardson, Kimmel. After many weeks of hard practice, the seniors, under the direction of Mr. Ellis, proved their efforts were not in vain by presenting Oh, Promise Mel' on April llp. Applause, laughter and many comments indicated that this play was as good as any put on in the local school in recent years. The play was given before an audience of about Soo people. Between acts, Mr. Sharp and the String Ensemble presented several numbers. Jack Richards and Catherine Kettler did excellent work in the two lending parts. Principal contributors to the humor situations were Ida Jane Persons and Barbara Ruff who did their best to catch the millionaire playboy. Martha Greenwalt, mother of one of them, brought alongto help catch the boy friend made the scenes riotous. The supporting cast, all of whom did commendable work, consisted of: Jim Sleno, John Hunt, Marian Schoch, Terrill Whitney, Wilma Kimmel, Rosemary Hartman, and Roberta Richardson.

Bonnie R1ce'1s the new Regional Secretary, successor to Elsie Himm. Events of the year: Entertained the Ovid F.H.A., served a dinner for veterans, and enjoyed a dinner pre- sented by the Elsie F. H. A. at Elsie.
