In the interclass track meet and basketball tourna- the rest of the classes a hard run for their money. Entries in- cluded Bob Weigold, Ray Tithof, red Vajgert, John Kulesa, Henry Zajdlik, Bernard Butcher, George Launstein, Charles Sackrider , and Joseph ' Richter. Ray Tithof, George Larner, and Don ,' 1 Hunt acted as Varsity team managers during the year. Q Many outstanding , rr things were under- taken during the year such as the exhibit for the community fair, going to Saginaw to see several plays by the Claretree NVQ Major players and other types of field trips. During the final week of school a picnic was held at one of the parks, the end a successful year. The 1942 track season got off with a good start when twenty five men responded to coach Kurrle's call for track can didates Miller, Sebok, Holzhausen, Bitterman, and Moore were veterans last year's team Gordon McDougall, John Sebok, and Lisle Hiller were the three dash men and also ran the 220, the relay, and the running broad jump Dave Parshall and John Kulesa were the half milers Allan Bitterman and Lisle Hiller were the high Jumpers and also pole vaulters Don Haney and Schmeige were first year men on the shot put, and Kenneth Moore ran the m1le The team had there track meets with Owosso, Corunna, and St. Louis.
