We would like to dedicate our 1980-81 Karatongan to a special person. She has been very helpful in many of our class activities and is always there to lend a helping hand. She has been like a mom to all of us, and we really appreciate all she has done. The Class of 1982 expresses their gratitude to Mrs. Elaine Shipway. 3

MR. GOVERN Congratulations to the class of 1981! You are the first graduating class to complete your senior year in the decade of the eighties. As the day of graduation approaches, thoughts flash back across the years since the first day of school. There were the successes and failures. There were the feelings of elation when you got that passing grade, when the game was won or at that last curtain call. There was the time you hit the wrong note at the band concert or bungled the play and you were embar- rassed. There were friends who seemed to be there when needed and some that were not. You have had a chance to cope with your emotions and your prob- lems. This will be important to you in the days ahead. You will have some difficult decisions to make in the future. You have had the experiences you need. As new problems present themselves, study all the alter- natives, consider all the solutions and make the hard decisions. Use those tools you have fashioned for yourself. They are the best you have. They will work for you if you will use them. My best wishes go with you for a good life. Mr. Govern 1 MR. DRAKE The yearbook is an important part of the school program. The class that is responsible for this publica- tion has many learning experiences. Many students - grow in a positive way because of their work on the yearbook. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the members of the Class of 1982 and their advi- sor, Mr. Nelson, for their work on the 1981 yearbook. Best wishes and congratulations to the members of the Class of 1981. You are about to reach a significant milestone in your life. It has been my pleasure to work with you and to witness your educational growth.
