FOR OUR ADVISOR A SPECIAL THANK YOU Three years ago, when we were eager freshmen, Mr. Roesch was given the challenge of advising us until our graduating day in 1977. We are Juniors now and we would like to thank Mr. Roesch for his persistence and especially for his time. Next year we will be busy preparing for graduation and our futures that we may not take the time to adequately acknowledge Mr. Roesch for all of his efforts on our behalf. Mr. Roesch, thank you for your help as our advi- sor. 5

Congratulations to the graduating class of 1976. To be graduating this year holds a particular significance since this is the two hundredth anniversary of our country. Because of the association with the bicen- tennial year, we are going to remember a little more clearly the events of the occasion and circumstances surrounding it. You have now reached the end of your high school career. You have consumed about twenty-five percent of your life span learning how to cope with the society in which you live. You have had an opportunity to experiment in many ways. You have had a chance to learn what to say, what to do and how to get along with people. You have had a chance to make mistakes and a chance to correct them. You have experienced success and failure and learned how to live with them. It has been a time when you have had an opportunity to delve into the history of mankind to find out how we got where we are and to make the best decisions about where we are going. All of these experiences will have a bearing on how you react in the future. I hope your choices will be the right ones. I have come to know each one of you and can't help feeling just a little lonely at the prospects of your leaving. My best wishes go with you. Mr. Govern Congratulations to the Class of 1976. Graduation is a significant milestone in your personal life and it is indeed memorable to have attained this goal as our nation celebrates its bicentennial. I trust that you will be ever cognizant of the fundamental principles upon which our nation has grown as you continue to build your own lives. The class of '76 may be small in actual members, but the members have contributed liberally in all aspects of our school program. Congratulations and best wishes to each member of the Class of 1976. Thank you to the Class of 1977, The Karatongan staff and Mr. Roesch, the advisor, for the efforts put forth to publish our annual yearbook.
