marks the beginning of an individual's school activity. Our faculty provides the stimuli to send the stream on its way. Gathering speed throughout the primary grades, the stream suddenly hits rapids, the confusion of junior high. The rapids suddenly become a raging waterfall, the brisk pace of our memorable high school years. Graduation at last! The stream of life flows on to the sea of knowledge which is the heritage of America. ROW 1: J. Alpaugh, Mrs. Nielsen, S. Blumenstock, J. Webb. ROW 2: N. Snyder, L. Cramer, A. Johnson, M. Semrov, N. Harrington.

Our Heritage Fifty years ago the part of the building now occupied by the junior high was officially opened. At that time there were 200 students in the primary through high school grades. Many of the same courses were offered that are offered today including algebra, geometry, social studies, English and agri- culture. Instruction was also given in physical education. There was also a laboratory for physics and chemistry. The library numbered 1400 volumes with a large collection on American History. The aim of the school was to develop character and make students honest, accurate and energetic workers. This was the source of the great river of knowledge that was to follow. Now, in 1963, as the river rushes on, we can see the tremendous gains made during the past 50 years.
