enior Class History September 1946 IS a memorable date for Jeanne Barrmger Gordon Clapper Paul Deselets Steven Loucks B111 McCarthy Ellen lNe1son Karen Parsons Rol land R1ckard Gary Yerdon andJoyce WINES For that was the year we entered Mrs W1lmot s kmdergarten to embark our educatlonal Journey VVh1le 1n the f1rst grade we were Jomed by John Edwards Rlchard Pust and Beverly Snyder M1ss G1lday taught us our ABC s D1ana Erwm Jomed us 1n the second grade Vve reached the thlrd grade and welcomed Paul Rodr1ques 1nto our class It was at th1s tlme that we struggled through the mu1t1pl1cat1on tables ano got our f1rst taste of wr1ter s cramp learnmg how to wrlte We contlnued our Journey 1nto the fourth grade unchanged Memor1z1ng poems became mmportant to us Our class enrollment reached an even stxteen when John Pukas Jo1ned us 1n the f1fth grade We earnestly rehearsed for our f1rst play Proud Prmces We had fun 1n the Slxth grade learnlng about the Greeks E1ghth grade meant our flrst Regents However at the tlme we wlshed they were the last We took a tr1p to Albany and to Howe Caverns ln thls year Oh the exc1ternent of our f1rst dance Apr1l Showers and a very prof1table one too No newcomers entered our Freshmen class our f1rst year 1n h1gh school Stanley Kmne came 1n our Sophomore year We were very amb1t1ous gettmg ready for a class play Mr Rose our class adv1ser and Mr Johnson our co advlser helped us through a busy Jumor year We put forth our best efforts 1n publlshmg our year book MEMOIRS Our Jumor Prom had a French settlng Thls 15 the year we rece1ved our treasured and much awalted for class r1ngs W1th Mr Rose cont1nu1ng to be our class adv1ser we worked hard and truly enjoyed our Semor year The paper dr1ves dances candy sales at the basketball games and the semor tr1p 1n March and Apr1l w1ll always be remembered And now as Sen1ors we ve taken many steps up the ladder of educatlon Xl e turn our thoughts toward the future and contlnue up that ladder Joyce W1nne H1stor1an J J .
