As sophs we had chosen the team with the golden touch and under the sign of the vulture we could afford to be upper-class. ANDROCLES AND THE LION carried class comps and FIDDLER ON THE ROOF ffinanced by profits from football concessionsj became the greatest stage success in the schooI's history. With enthusiasm that would not be drowned with the napkins, we built, rebuilt, and re-rebuilt a winning float. Regardless of the score, juniors were number one! The first prize spirit of '73 shone at the roller rink, the gym on sports nights, and the cafeteria at West's first square dance. Proudly we flashed class rings and got ready for our first prom. To be or not to be formal: that was the question answered by each class member. Tavistock was beautiful and though the theme was vague, the marvelous reality of Friends was weather- resistent. In the wake of that final tradition the year drew quickly to a close.
