The football players being escorted to their seats walked more proudly than in recent years, respond- ing to the raucous excitement in the crowd. Linda Morgan was crowned-a queen of traditional beauty-under the chauvinistic gape of all the males in the audience. Then the gym was cleared for the auction and girls who had waited three years sat clutching brown bags and blankets. A lunch, a girl and a record-a bargain? Not for some! Beth Dunlap brought a record-breaking S30. Outside in the sun- shine girls shocked their guys in a rough 'n tough pigskin skirmish. Gee, I didn't know she could run that fast! In the midst of the high spirited chaos some even caught the ball. Meanwhile, males in mini-skirts kicked hairy legs and bounced balloons fmen's lib??j as the crowd roared. Then darkness fell and Senior Hill exploded. The game was not quite what we had hoped for, but no one blamed the team. Time was running out.'We had watched carefully andsseen that every aspect of the beloved Thanksgiving tradition was followed ex- actly. Now, as it ended, Senior hearts began to ache and we claimed it for our own. But, we could always come home. This is the full sense of the tradition.
