| Jr. Classical League | — 1 Afro-American Club! Cultural clubs provide an insight into many different languages and traditions. By join- ing these groups, students can learn about the different facets and customs of foreign countries. It is not required that members be enrolled in the language to participate and by being active in several, students see many examples of the respective cultures. These Spanish Club | clubs offer many activities including trips, luncheons, and exchange programs and pro- vide members with an awareness of other lifestyles. Cultural clubs are an important part of East because they contribute to open- mindedness among the students and supply interesting studies of foreign traditions and customs. 173
