11 V H' X , f i L ookin ' Pep Whats that Bruin battle cry? V-l-C-T-O-R-Y? On Friday October 23, hundreds of students congregated in the south gym to show their Cherry Creek spirit. Boys tennis, football, field hockey, giris I swimming, giris gymnastics, girls volleyball and softball, cross coun- try and golf make up the fail schedule at Cherry Creek Htgh School. ' The pep raliv was an opportunity to see the sports teams as a whole, I enabling us to acknowledge the members who have accomplished excellence, and made Cherry Creek proud. After a few class cheers, two captains from each fall sport came onto the floor and per- I formed a routine with the cheerleaders. Yes, they do have coordina- tion on the field, but don 't quite make it when wiggiing their hips and ' doing high kicks-Ouch! Then football captains Billy Burke and Jasen Murphy asked the students for their support in cheering the Bruins 'onto victory over Fairview. Following a dance by the pom-pons, the Homecoming king and queen nominees were introduced. Even though one junior commented that on the whole, these pep rallies are pretty stupid, a senior said that he had fun yeliing insults at the freshmen. -Alexandra K. Witherspoon CCHS .
