Qoiol Even i pg... 5 Many people have asked us what is Special Event. We used to say we got dressed up and took pictures, then watched National Geo- graphic Hlms. We do dress up and take pictures, but in reality, Special Event is a party for the Yearbook staff. lt's a bunch of friends getting together, talking, eating, dancing, and having an all-around good time! The juniors and seniors bring dates to the party, which was held at Dr. and Mrs. Hunter's house. lt was organized by John Furnish, Executive Editorg Heather Potter, Editor-in-Chief' and Cin- dy Johnson, Assistant Editor. The sophomores and some freshmen on staff dress up as French maids, butlers and cooks, and wait on the upperclassmen for the evening. We have a huge potluck dinner and then dance for the remainder of the night. At the end of the evening, different groups go different ways. Some go downtown, some go bowling, and some go home. Most of all, though, Special Event is a special time as friendships are deepened, and memories are created, The many people on the Yearbook staff work together as one to produce this book. -Cindy Johnson 'lv ' ..X' AX x 1 l I 'Q in
