But if you take a closer look at the kind of cars Creek students drive, you 'll see that we aren t that different from anyone eise There are few brand new sports cars in the West parkzng tot but Creek does have its share of tamzly station wagons Dodge Darts and enough boats to float fn any ocean At Creek it doesn trealhf matter what kind of car you drive as long as you do have a set of wheels Students want to take advantage of off campus privileges and they must have a way to get to the local fast food restaurant As Iong as my car makes ft to Taco Bell it s okay wzth me said Paul Kahn For those freshmen and sophomores who can not yet dnve they find that thezr socza! life depends on whether or not someone can give them a ride lt s a dra not having a car said freshman N1ckiZad1ck because you have your own transportatxon cars remain an important part of life at Cherry Creek You may not drive a Porsche but as long as your car gets you where you want to go does it really matter? Qoiol Even i pg... 5 Many people have asked us what is Special Event. We used to say we got dressed up and took pictures, then watched National Geo- graphic Hlms. We do dress up and take pictures, but in reality, Special Event is a party for the Yearbook staff. lt's a bunch of friends getting together, talking, eating, dancing, and having an all-around good time! The juniors and seniors bring dates to the party, which was held at Dr. and Mrs. Hunter's house. lt was organized by John Furnish, Executive Editorg Heather Potter, Editor-in-Chief' and Cin- dy Johnson, Assistant Editor. The sophomores and some freshmen on staff dress up as French maids, butlers and cooks, and wait on the upperclassmen for the evening. We have a huge potluck dinner and then dance for the remainder of the night. At the end of the evening, different groups go different ways. Some go downtown, some go bowling, and some go home. Most of all, though, Special Event is a special time as friendships are deepened, and memories are created, The many people on the Yearbook staff work together as one to produce this book. -Cindy Johnson 'lv ' ..X' AX x 1 l I 'Q in
