The speech team had a good year with a fine team effort and some great individual accomplishments. Chris Eash, Eric Elder, and Marti Miller qualified at districts to compete at the sectional level. Marti Miller gave a fine performance and went on to the finals competition. The contest play placed second in districts and qualified for sectionals but were unable to attend because of schedule conflicts. The readers theatre placed fifth at districts. Marti Miller and Ann Ripley received all cast awards at districts. Marti Miller was named most valuable speaker for the year.
