Mike Power was again selected to Chenoa's All Tournament team. The year was culminated by a great team effort at the Midstate Conference tournament where, after losing to El Paso, the varsity team went on to win the consolation championship in an exciting match with Flanagan. A final tro- phy was garnered at the Roanoke tournament with Chris Eash being selected to the All Tour- nament team. The last match of the year pitted Chenoa's varsity against arch-rival Lexington in one on one competition in front of the Lexington Kiwanis Club with Chenoa winning an exciting match to cap a good year. In order to be a good wrestling team the wrestlers stayed until 6:30 P.M. almost every night, lifted weights, and counted calories. Because they worked so hard, four wrestlers made it into the Hall of Fame. This was an outstanding individual accomplishment.
