The F reshman parties Our TirsT Treshman class parTy was a wiener roasT held aT The home oT John Cable in honor oT Billie Anderson, who was moving away. Games were played, songs were sung, Tingers were burnT by marshmallows and wieners, buT everyone had an enjoyable Time. The nexT parTy was a scavenger hunT. The class divided inTo Tive groups. The hunT was halTed by The rain buT neverTheless iT did noT spoil The resT of The Tun oT The evening. As guesTs oT The evening we had Miss BarTh and Miss l-larrower. Spin The boTTle, wind, and oTher games were played, and girls Tried To Teach The boys how To dance. A very happy evening was spenT by everyone. The Freshman class had a Tarewell parTy Tor Miss BarTh, one oT our class spon- sors. There were games Tor everyone. Toward The end oT The evening Miss BarTh was presenTed wiTh a lovely Evening in Paris seT Trom The Freshman class. A number oT Tecgchers were presenT. ATTer games had been played, chili and crackers were serve . The Sophomore Class party ATTer weeks oT preparaTion The Sophomore class oT Chenoa CommuniTy High School held Their TirsT semesTer class parTy, Wednesday, December TiTTeenTh, in The gymnasium. PrompTly aT seven-ThirTy The parTy began wiTh The lively games oT Bingo and KooTie KaT, keeping The class, as well as The sponsors, Miss l-larrower and Mr. Ferree, and oTher members oT The TaculTy busy. AT abouT Ten o'cloclc delicious re- TreshmenTs were served and rapidly consumed. During reTreshmenTs There was a general exchange oT giTTs. While The clean-up commiTTee did Their work, dancing was The main inTeresT Tor The oThers. The TirsT class parTy in Their new gymnasium was a huge success. The Junior Class party The Junior Class ParTy was a scavenger hunT held on The nighT of OcTober I8, l937. Everyone assembled aT The high school aT seven o'cloclc. Each car was given a lisT oT arTicles To Tind and reTurned aT 8:30 P. M. ATTer The lisTs were checlced, The occupanTs oT John GenTes' car were declared The winners. ReTreshmenTs were enjoyed by all in The l-lome Economics room. School parties On OcTober 22, l937, a school ChrisTmas parTy was held in The High School gymnasium. There were various Types oT enTerTainmenT To lceep The sTudenTs well en- TerTained. During The course oT The evening, Mr. Ferree inTeresTed The TooTball squad by showing moving picTures OT a TooTbal! game played on The home Tield. ln anoTher room a group oT sTudenTs were gaThered To play ping-pong. The gymnasium was open Tor dancing, The lighTing eTTecT being very lovely and impressive. The radio was used To Turnish music Tor dancing. ReTreshmenTs of ice cream and candy were served laTer in The evening. As The sTudenTs leTT The parTy There were many who wished Tor anGTher parTy in The near TuTure. l938 aT The l-ligh School.
