In sports and in the per- forming arts, the class of 1969 made significant contributions. In sports, the freshmen showed great potential. Though the freshman football team won only one game, they evidenced considerable improvement. The basketball team was termed by many informed observers as the best in years. The wrestlers showed great promise for future achievement. The freshmen also added their time and talents to help produce a memorable year of activities. The band and chorus benefited from freshman efforts. They used their dramatic talents to aid in play production. All told, 1965-1966 was a productive year for the freshmen. Organization Rounding out its second year, FTA has firmed its purposes and programs. Seeking to interest students in the teaching profession, it has sought to point out the problems, the rewards, and the goals. Membership is dependent on both interest and gradepoint, with some fifty students enrolled. A chief activity of FTA is to organize Student Teaching Day, another recently developed activity at CHS. Sandi Yoder served as FTA president during the fall semester, along with Ann Fletcher as vice- president. Elections in January selected President Nancy Blair and vice-president, Guss Williamson.
