You Gotta Ease on Down the Road! Although the average school day at Chenango Valley had its ups and downs, each and every day was unique and fulfilling, as it gave students the chance to be with their friends. Whether it was copying homework off a friend, playing volleyball, basketball, or football in gym classes, reading magazines in the library, hanging out by the bathrooms between classes, painting a pic¬ ture or making jewelry in art class, playing cards in lounge or study halls, blowing up the chemistry lab, attending club meeting after school or just falling asleep in class, each school day was unique. Of course, however, the major portion of the day was spent learn¬ ing. For many students, the educational part of the day was most important. These students discovered that a little bit of enthusiasm and perseverance makes the world of knowledge an interesting, and enjoyable chal¬ lenge.

The Music,, the Spotlights, the People. . . Last spring, the Chenango Valley Drama Club and Music Department combined their talents in staging the famous Broadway Musical ANNIE GET YOUR GUN. The musical was performed on three consecutive evenings. In addition, a special matinee performance was given in memory of Miss Martha Millen, costume designer for Drama Club for over twenty years. The capacity crowds were brought to life by the fine singing, dancing, and acting, as the story of Anne Oakley came to life before their eyes. The 1976-77 Warrior Marching Band, directed by Mr. John Cooley made itself known throughout the year. The long, hard hours of practicing paid off as the 125 member band took first place at the 1976 Tourna¬ ment of Bands Competition. On the field, the band was led by drum major Nancy Russell and color guard cap¬ tain Peggy Tayler. The band proved itself to be a tre¬ mendous asset to the pride of Chenango Valley. ten
